The relational database service (MySQL) and NoSQL service (MongoDB) provide cost efficient, scalable and managed database in the cloud. This service is extremely simple to deploy, and is Amazon RDS service-compatible, making it seamless to migrate applications from Amazon. It also provides high availability, resiliency, backup and restore, and performance optimization functions to meet the requirements of mission critical applications. Additionally, database isolation and access controls ensure data protection of highly secure and privacy-sensitive applications.

The elastic in-memory cache service delivers Memcached-as-a-Service, which is a key component of web application architectures. This service can be easily optimized for specific workloads. Extremely light weight health agents monitor the cache nodes to ensure availability and will automatically re-provision any failed node.
