What is CumuLogic’s product?
CumuLogic’s product is the only feature-rich, Cloud Application Platform (Platform-as-a-Service) available today for both public and private clouds. CumuLogic’s platform provides end-to-end application infrastructure services, including monitoring, management, and autoscaling so you can deploy your applications in public or private clouds, or both.

What are most common use cases for CumuLogic platform?
Enterprises - Enterprises with custom Java applications can use CumuLogic Cloud Application Platform to consolidate siloed applications running on different servers and infrastructure stacks to a single standardized platform. At the same time, application developers get access to a development, Test/QA and deployment infrastructure on a self-service basis, and are able to focus on building applications rapidly and cost effectively.

Cloud Providers - Cloud providers can leverage CumuLogic’s technology to offer customized application Infrastructure-as-a-Service to their ISV and enterprise customers.

ISVs - ISVs seeking to deliver applications via a cloud can leverage CumuLogic platform for private or public clouds to provision and manage their applications end-to-end.

What are the key business benefits of CumuLogic solution?
The major benefits of CumuLogic Cloud Application Platform include:

• Simplified on-boarding of Java applications in public and private clouds
• Consolidation of application infrastructure for next generation, agile IT
• Standardization of software/application infrastructure to lower the cost of IT/application operations
• Use of existing middleware components for IT investment protection
• On-demand/self-service application infrastructure -> IT control with developer flexibility
• Increased speed of development -> Faster time-to-market

What are the key product features in CumuLogic platform ?
The current beta release provides:

• IaaS abstraction layer enables multi-vendor cloud support.
• Mix-and-match infrastructure software is supported and enables deployment of modern applications.
• Monitoring, autoscaling, and resiliency automate the provisioning of necessary resources to applications.
• Application infrastructure lifecycle management eliminates variations from the development environment to production environments.
• Developer and administration API enable developers to push applications to the cloud and expect all the platform services to be available to run those applications. Developers can manage the application lifecyle (i.e. deploy, un-deploy, version control, etc.).
• Cloud Services Catalog is provided, which allows organizations to acquire new infrastructure software and updates delivered and registered to their repositories in private clouds. This catalog eliminates the need to build their own service images which can be a time consuming task.

Testimonials

Today's clouds are complex and all different. There is almost no interoperability between cloud providers and between public and private clouds. I'm enthusiastic about CumuLogic's PaaS cloud management solution as it utilizes the higher levels of abstraction inherent in the PaaS model to reduce the complexity of cloud management, provides targeted facilities for both developers and management, and erases the distinctions between the various clouds enabling transparent interoperability.
