How The CumuLogic Platform Works
The CumuLogic platform has two primary components, the controller and deployed instances. The controller itself is capable of targeting one or more IaaS clouds, and can be used as an external management tool or as an integral part of a cloud services architecture.
The CumuLogic Controller
The controller is the software responsible for providing a web-based console, API endpoint for all services, and the core orchestration logic required for application and service deployment.
CumuLogic Instances
Applications and services powered by the CumuLogic platform are deployed on the target cloud(s) within virtual machines sourced from a single “master image”. Along with the specific application or service payload, these virtual machines include the CumuLogic agent software, monitoring sensor and any third-party agents that the operator may wish to use to enhance their control or visibility into the environment.
CumuLogic controllers integrate with your existing IaaS cloud via APIs. CumuLogic architects are available to help you with IaaS cloud integration – as well as training and support.
CumuLogic Cloud Services are available on several common Infrastructure-as-a-Service clouds and virtualized environments including:
- Apache CloudStack
- Citrix CloudPlatform
- Cloudscaling Open Cloud System
- Eucalyptus
- NebulaOne
- OpenStack
- VMware vCloud
- VMware vSphere
CumuLogic Features
CumuLogic’s software suite is designed from the ground up to support mission-critical applications and and has built-in capabilities to recover from failures, point-in-time recovery and health monitoring, making it suitable for production environments.
Database-as-a-Service
CumuLogic relational database and NoSQL services provide cost efficient, scalable and managed databases on any Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) clouds or VMware vSphere environments. They provide high availability, resiliency, backup and restore, and performance optimization functions to support production environments.
